Paediatric First Aid
Course Details:
- Accredited 2-day or 1-day blended course compliant with New OFSTED EYFS guidance, suited for child minders, nannies, nurseries, schools, those who work in child care.
- First Aiders trained would learn and be confident to respond to common emergencies among babies and children.
- Course is a mix of practical, theory, role play scenarios.
The Qualsafe Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (PFA) (RQF) qualification is valid for 3 years. This is a comprehensive 2-day or 1-day blended course that includes:
- First aid basics
- First Aid Kits
- Primary and Secondary Survey
- Paediatric CPR and use of AED
- Placement or Baby and Child in a recovery position
- Bleeding and Shock including minor injuries
- Choking in Babies and Children
- Anaphylaxis in Babies and Children
- Seizures including febrile convulsions, epilepsy, absent seizures.
- Causes of unconsciousness in paediatrics like asthma, head injuries, diabetes
- Additional topics like poisoning, burns, sprains, strains, bone injuries, insect bites etc
