Emergency Paediatric First Aid

Course Details: 

• • Accredited 1-day course compliant with New OFSTED EYFS guidance. The course is suitable for those who have gained a level 2 or 3 childcare qualification and have entered an early years setting and wish to be included in the staff to child ratios to comply with the EYFS requirements. (Please refer your organization and OFSTED guidance to check what training you require)
  • First Aiders trained would learn and be confident to respond  to common emergencies among babies and children.
  • Course is a mix of practical, theory, role play scenarios.

The Qualsafe Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (PFA) (RQF) qualification is valid for 3 years. This is a 1-day course that includes:

• • First aid basics
  • First Aid Kits
  • Primary and Secondary Survey
  • Paediatric CPR and use of AED
  • Placement or Baby and Child in a recovery position
  • Bleeding and Shock including minor injuries
  • Choking in Babies and Children
  • Anaphylaxis in Babies and Children
  • Seizures including febrile convulsions, epilepsy, absent seizures.
